Good design requires a chemical reaction.
Chemicals in the designer's brain must react in such a way as to create responses in the eyes and hands which can then be translated to the design medium. In this case, the medium happens to be a computer.Think of a designer and his or her choice of equipment as the two hydrogen atoms, and the printing medium, usually some form of paper, as the oxygen. It's safe to assume that for many companies, good designs, logos and identity projects are as important to their success as water is to the human body. Both would die without what they need.
Strong brand identity is crucial to success.
Brand identity and recognition leads to brand loyalty. Customers want to identify with the products and services they are consuming. We understand that a strong identity is more than just a snappy logo. theLAB @ atomic lime is a creative group composed of extremely talented "design scientists", who understand the importance of chemistry as it relates metaphorically to good design. Here, you will find the scientific process and the design process fused at a sub-atomic level, seamlessly integrated to provide you, the client, with the "water" that your company needs to survive and flourish.
Our designs are clean, crisp and refreshing, while exhibiting the rare ability to stand the test of time. Here at theLAB, we don't follow trends or fads, so our designs never look "dated".
A simple design is often the most difficult, because it has to be
Thank you for visiting theLAB @ atomic lime creative. For your safety, please wear splash-proof goggles at all times and note that there is an emergency eyewash station down the corridor to the left, should any of the designs accidentally splash you in the eyes. They can be very tangy at times.

art director/graphic artist/illustrator
Tommy received his BA in Applied Visual Communications from the University of Colorado in 2001. Unable to find an opportunity to "break in" to the industry, he started picking up freelance clients on the side while working as a landscaper. Starting with a portfolio filled completely with spec work, he built up a list of local clients that always felt priviliged to be called "client". Once his vision, creativity and attention to detail started to spread, he was able to pursue his dream of designing and concepting ads, identities and presentations full-time. From beating the streets to scheduling appointments, typesetting to layout, pitching ideas to full-blown design, he's been a virtual one-man show since the beginning.
Tommy has also had the opportunity to work in-house at several nationally-recognized companies as an independent consultant, and has spent a healthy amount of time in an agency setting as well, working within the parameters of ad agencies, marketing firms and communications departments all around the country. This broad background gives him a complete, well-rounded sense of the industry from every angle imaginable. He's even broken a sweat in the back room of a print shop on several occasions.
Whether you're looking to hire a freelance designer, creative consultant or even a full-time AD, Tommy is up for the challenge and will expertly deliver his unique brand of creative style, modern simplicity and unlimited success potential to your organization or start-up.
